User-specific content starts with the application identity and the data that identity may access. A customer can see their orders, a staff member can see their assigned work, and a supervisor can receive a different set of pages. AutoTable provides authentication, route rules, record policies, field filtering, and configurable application views that you combine for that result.
Define the relationship explicitly: which field identifies an owner, which role may open a page, which fields should appear, and which operations a person may perform. A user-specific result is not just a table with a browser-supplied user ID filter. The backend must decide whether the caller can read or change each requested record.
Connect access rules to a configured interface
Use backend policies to establish the permitted records and fields. Then configure application pages, navigation, filters, and component bindings to make that permitted data useful. React Template renders saved page definitions and supports interactions such as selecting a record to update another component. Those interactions organize the experience; they do not grant additional access.
A shared page can display different authorized results to different users without requiring a separate page definition for every account. AutoTable does not automatically generate personal dashboards, arbitrary profile editors, or a complete preference system. Those experiences still require a deliberate data model, supported operations, and a consuming interface.
Verify users independently
Test with user A, user B, and a signed-out visitor. Compare list results, direct record requests, edits, available pages, and visible fields. Include attempts to request another user’s record and to submit a false owner value. Verify both the API response and the rendered page so a hidden interface element cannot conceal an overbroad response.
